I agree with you that we don't have a moral obligation to fund the Hamas-led government. Posting an article doesn't mean I agree with it, I think I've made that clear in the past.

However, he's right on point that it has generated more hostility and distrust of the U.S. in the Muslim world, because the perception is that the U.S. is a hypocrite to be promoting democracy in the ME and then reject it once undesirable actors take power.
