In second place I imagine it was Matthew Mayer followed by Fletcher Magee. Then probably like one vote for Victor Wembanyama by overhyping suck off Doris Burke.
Idc about the sl but based on the few games i've seen of him he could legitimately end up being a better sg than Green. He's a better shooter, better defender, just as athletic, stronger, bigger. I can understand tunnel vision argument but still i like the kid a lot more. I've read Jaylen Brown comparisons on Twtiter but he reminds me of Miles Bridges. I think we drafted a top 3 talent. I want him to play next season hope doesn't get buried on the bench.
Nice! Let's not go overboard w/ praising this, it's still Summer League, some of the best players didn't play. Cool for him. Let's see if he can do it in the pros. I still don't see him playing for us much this year.
I say give him the Donte Green treatment and trade him while is value is at an all-time high. On a more serious note, I like his game, but this offseason signings will make it very hard for him to get the minutes he needs to develop. It's not necessarily Whitmore that needs to be dealt, it's just that someone needs to be dealt. Lack of consolidation has been an issue for 2 seasons now, even after Stone traded 4 players for nothing.
When his teammates set him up, Cam is a serious finisher. He doesn’t need to initiate and dominate the ball to put up strong numbers. I’m sure Cleveland will throw some extra help at him. Curious to see how Cam responds.
We need to see how he develops before crowning him, but he has the tools. I want to see how he plays when he's the 4th or 5th option on the court. Had the same question about Tari after he showed out in last year's summer league, and he proved he was willing to do the little things during the regular season to get time. FVV, Jalen, KPJ, Jabari and Sengun will be taking the vast majority of the shots on this team. When Whitmore is on the court, he needs to contribute hustle, cutting, C&S and defense, otherwise he won't see the court. Whitmore is competing with KPJ, Brooks and Tari for minutes...that's a tall task for a rookie, and this isn't the same team that was willing to play guys that didn't contribute to winning.
