What you think? Zach getting some help. Nba sites have them slated as 4th seed, but new dominate power house in the east.
Nets Bucks Hawks Heat 76ers Hornets Pacers Celtics I'd say Chicago is going to be 9th or 10th in the East.
Basically a bunch of underachieving would be all-stars lol. Maybe together they could do something, 2nd round at best IMO.
a bunch of decent names on paper. There's clearly at least 4 teams better than them in the east. at best they could sneak in the playoffs as a low seed if they have a good season
wow after ALL this time the East finally looks to have evened out with the West. I mean it's been decades
So the Bulls basically locked themselves into this team for the next 4 years and are risking the possibility of losing Levine in free agency. This group is going to be TERRIBLE defensively, and I cannot see them winning a playoff series.
Maybe not impressed, but am a little curious. Bulls missed the playoff the last four years. Their fanbase is getting restless. At the risk of losing Lavine, they spend money this year. Let's see if it pays off. For what it is worth. Bulls v Cavs (pre-season game). 131-95. Bulls had a lead as much as 48 pts. No mercy was shown.
They might be the most fun young team to watch and/or root for. Might not be the best young team, but definitely the most fun. Lonzo and Lavine. Williams and Caruso. Veteran stability of Vooch and Derozan.
They can do damage in the weak East conf. as Lavine and Lonzo one of the best backcourts in the league.
I think the Bulls have an interesting wing and guard rotation. A good mix of scorers and defenders. Not sure how they're gonna defend switches and the rim with Vucevic and randos (Tony Bradley?) at center. I can see them taking the Wizards' spot in last years standings. Somewhere around 7-10 seed.
Building a great NBA team is about multiplication not addition. You want to build around guys who greatly improve the performance of lesser offensive talents or dominate 2 way for flexibility. This is just assembling good players with no consideration for fit or more importantly defense. Should be good enough to make the playoffs out east, but no threat for a deep run. Playing devils advocate, the dream for a big market team is that they win enough to make themselves an attractive destination for a real star to force a trade there. Not saying I necessarily agree, but not an absurd hope.
