Damn, I remember when I thought he was right on Arian's ass as far as who was the starter. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>The Browns released running back Ben Tate this morning.</p>— Zac Jackson (@FSOhioZJackson) <a href="https://twitter.com/FSOhioZJackson/status/534739508852695040">November 18, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Wow, not saying Tate will set the world on fire but this could not work out any better for the Colts. So freaking lucky.
lol - tate is a scrub and a crybaby. he's sure gotten a lot of love from the h-town fanbase without doing much to earn it. he's always injured and rarely strings together consecutive games of strong work. you just can't bank on the guy as your primary running back and he's too prideful to be a backup. that said - great move for the colts for the rest of the season as he's a clear upgrade over nothing, but I don't expect him to produce beyond avgs of 80y/gm at 3.2/carry
He was killing it in Clev before they lost their pro-bowl center. I watched a few games after the center went down and the defense was getting into the backfield before tate could get back to the line of scrimmage. If colts sign him that will be a steal and i expect him to excel.
he also opened up his mouth this weekend after not playing much. that's probably why he was cut more so the production.
I didn't expect him to pan out there. He's just not starter material. Colts should give him a shot. Couldn't hurt.
So was Tony Boselli... seriously though, the guy does run hard, but is always hurt and a malcontent when he's not getting carries.
Tate wasn't the best RB in Cleveland and he never was. That was proven this past pre-season when Isaiah was going bat bleep crazy. I'm not sure Indy will go after him. Not much difference between him and Trent. Arizona seems like a good landing spot.
Colts make too much sense, or the Vikings to be honest. He wants to start or at least get significant touches. He isn't coming back here, although I'd take him as a 3RB over Grimes...even split carries with Blue
But he has a big head and thinks he is starter material, which is where the problem arises. Doesn't sound like a team player at all. He only cares about his playing time.
