They actually could, still, use a 2nd playmaker even if its iso-approach. The Rox will NOT play defense this year, might as well try to outscore people. I don't know the Rox cap situation but if they were legitimately contending instead of mediocre, kicking the tires on Iso-Joe would be sensible if for nothing more than keeping OTHERS from getting better.

At this point the Rockets should be tanking so why would Joe Johnson want to play in Houston when he can have an opportunity for a playoff run on several other teams? Joe Johnson is likely headed to the Cavs.

Will sign with Heat once he clears waivers. LOL Don Riley with the F-U move to LeBron. Phew, that means they have to keep giving JR Smiff minutes lmfao.
Is it confirmed that he will sign with Miami? Has he signed already? J Smoove and him were teammates in Atlanta, Thornton was his teammate in Brooklyn. it would only make sense to waive one former Net for another!

Terrible decision (and Yes I know, Miami, lovely place, SOBE, blah blah blah). He can always go stay in Miami in the off-season. If Bosh doesn't return, the Heat won't make the playoffs. They weren't going to get to the ECF even if Bosh returned. Deng and Justice get most of the minutes at SF while DWade is at SG. Sure when they go small, JJohn can slide in at SF. Meanwhile OKC are rotating the poopoo platter that is Roberson and Waiters and even Singler at SG and SF. Joe Johnson could have come in and slid into that SG role immediately next to Russ and KD and given them a legit 3rd scoring option(Kanter and Ibaka aren't that, bless their hearts.) Tonight's game was a reminder- when KD fouled out. Joe Johnson and Russ in that backcourt would have given the Warriors more to think about. Plus, OKC are legit WCF contenders. What could have been. I hope Joe Johnson enjoys his time chilling in SoFla and knows he isn't going to win a playoff series at any point before he retires. (Not even sure what I wrote, I'm just pissed GSW won tonight and I'm in my feelings).
Not exactly true. Wade is finally leaving the ball in Dragic's hands a bit more and Deng spends a lot of time at PF, while Josh McRoberts is finally rounding into form. It seems like Whiteside is slowly maturing. So Heat ain't half bad. Johnson's prirority was also role and fit. He will probably spend most of the time at SF, as PF slot will be occupied by Deng and McRoberts. Deng had several 10+ rebounds this season, so he fits as a PF . If you are basing your premise on Johnson's good fit in OKC by yesterday's game when Durant's fouled out, then you are really REALLY cherry picking. So Johnson will have a large enough role only when Durant or Westbrook foul out? With Johnson, good health and a bit of luck Miami can get to ECF and who knows what can happen against Cleveland there. Even if they get stuck in 2nd round, this is not a bad result for Johnson as I can't imagine OKC passing 2nd round in West too.
