I figured I would run this by you. We have officially moved Danny Jacobs camp to Houston. Danny was named ESPN 2009 Prospect of the year and will be be the undercard of Mayweather and SSM. We are going to do live broadcasts to interact with fans. We will give away signed photos, gloves, hand wraps from sparring, ect.....My question is if there is enough interest from Clutchfans members to do it weekly here? Boxing websites are easy but we are interested in expanding our fanbase everywhere. It sees there are enough boxing fans here to justify it. Your feedback is appreciated.
Yeah, i'd be interested in following this -- don't care much about free stuff, but i'd check it out though i'm a bit confused about everything you're doing.
Thanks for the positive feedback. He gets here on Tuesday. Once he gets settled in and into camp I'll give you guys a update.
Honestly, I'm not technically savy at all. I will explore the options with my friends who are. It seems plenty of athletes are using Justintv, youstream,ect...so I'm sure I could do something like that. Is it difficult to do?
I don't think it should be too difficult. I want it to be live because it seems cooler for the fans. We are hoping to make this his home base permanently so we defeinitely want to interact with Houston fans.
Glad you are a fan. Thanks for supporting him. I'll have him sign a photo to you when he gets here. PM your name or if you attend Rockets games we will be at a decent amount of them for the next two months. Either way works.
I think this is a great idea. I'm always for supporting anything boxing. Any time a good fight comes up, I try to spread the word to casual viewers. Got to see Danny Jacobs fight on the JMM-Diaz card.
Cool. That was one of Danny's toughest fights. Danny chose to fight with a hurt hand that required surgery, Right after the fight he had it fixed and couldn't spar for 3 months. The fans were great though. Houston needs more big boxing cards. The fans will support them. It's sad that they put a ton of fights in Vegas that most fans would kill to see, but since Vegas boxing fans are so spoiled, they only draw like 1200 fans. Dawson/Tarver barely even had 1k paid and that was really good matchup. Hopefully that will change
