I'm going to the Donaire-Arce fight @ Toyota Center. I will be waving the Filipino flag. I think Donaire has to win big (KO or TKO) to stay in the Top 5 Pound-for-Pound rankings. Right now, it's Mayweather, Marquez, Martinez, Canelo, Bradley, and Broner topping the list.
Nice! I couldn't get anyone to get enough interest in my circle of friends. So at least I have HBO and Showtime so I'll be watching them on TV. That is the top P4P guys to you? Haven't some of those guys only fought in two weigh classes tops? EDIT: I guess the ranking is regardless of weight class, not demonstrating that you have fought in different weigh classes, my bad.
Article Link from BoxingScene.com - http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=60424#ixzz2F33cwBkw Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym's attempt to win back the WBA super-bantamweight title suffered a knockout blow on Thursday after he failed pre-fight blood tests. The 32-year-old Thai was scheduled to fight unbeaten champion Guillermo Rigondeaux of Cuba in Texas on Friday. Poonsawat failed three blood tests, ending his hopes of regaining the title he lost to North Korea's Ryol Li Lee in Japan in 2010, his handlers said. According to his wife Uangkarn Udomna, Poonsawat's test failure may be the result of the recessive blood disorder, thalassemia. Promoter Thaweesin Laosuwannawat said that a press conference will be held in Bangkok to explain the issue on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pornsawan Porpramook (27-4-1, 17KOs) will challenge for the vacant WBA minimumweight title against Japan's Ryo Miyazaki (17-0-3, 10KOs) in Osaka on Dec 31. The 34-year-old Thai is trying to win back the title he lost to Japan's Akira Yaegashi last October. However, the Japanese is heavy favourite as he is 10 years younger.
Man what a bummer. Was more interested in the poonsawat-rigo fight than Donaire. Poonsawat would have tested that glass jaw and at the very least forced rigor to fight and not run for 12rds
It was ridiculous of the crowd behind us, after Doanire knocked him out, were all saying "Pacquiao is still sleeping!!", ok.... if that makes you feel better about the Arce loss......
People be hatin fo real man... So sad and even during the post fight interview, Nonito even congratulate Mexico and thank the fans for coming out... Still he gets booed, lol...
just a friendly reminder that last time I checked, there was stabbing happened after a boxing fight in downtown Houston.
