Boogie Cousins is the most overrated "star" in the league... Not even top 15.

This thinking is flawed... Its an assumption without reason that excuses everything and that's an even more alarming detriment if true... That his attitude limits his entire performance to sub par levels on a year by year consistent basis... What other players get to live by this exception on good or bad teams to this degree?

Boogie has never been a good finisher for a big.. we don't assume that he is.

Boogie has never been a good shooter in his career.... We don't assume that he is.

He's never been a good defender... We don't assume that he is.

Is he a capable shooter yes... He can make shots, but he's below average or horrible.

Smoove was also capable of making perimeter shots too... It looks good when they go in, but guess what? He's just not a good shooter.

And also despite all this he's somehow an elite rebounder and elite foul drawer... Oh, "but he's just not dialed in"... Oh... "He's just dialed in... In those two aspects"... No.

Sure his percentages may go up... No he's not indisputably the best anything.... If he was a great defender, then I'd agree with you 100%.

Him being an ass is a contributing factor to them losing cuz he also plays like an ass.... Not a good comparison... J.R's strengths remained JR's strengths... He just was playing on a much better than with better players.

Boogie has to become god at things he hasn't shown he's good at... Like I said tho.

lmao OP clearly doesn't know anything about basketball. Boogie is literally unstoppable if he's in the paint and he can shoot. If you want to talk about the most overrated player in nba history it's steven curry by 10,000 miles. Steven curry is literally the worst player to ever touch a basketball.

I'll give you Coleman, but you got your history off.... Shareef was a minor role player at the end of his career on the Kings.

Really? Then why is Boogie below league average at the rim?

Why is he the worst player in the league in isolation?

Oh yes... You clearly don't know ish about ball.

Boogie shows his combination of laziness and bonehead plays often... Idk how many times I've seen him get mad at a call or that he didn't get the ball on a possession and then proceed to destroy multiple possessions following that.. most dudes just have the occasional frustration foul... He has those too, but also this combination...

Not even attempting to contest a layup....
Getting the ball and immediately taking a horrible jackup....
Or this one he does often.... Get the ball and try and play point center and turn it over or get called for a charge.

Now you'll see highlight clips where they show him handling the ball and making a nice play... If only you could see all the disastrous possession he has like that.

There's a reason he's averaged more TOs than assists his whole career... He has a high usage and was the worst player in the NBA in isolation plays also... Yet he still has so many iso's...lol

You are right. . . I was thinking of his Vancouver days
Dude was Averaging 20+ Near 10 Rebs

    Someone called him 'Lazy'
Derrick Coleman may have been lazy but more hardheader
    but Abdur was not 'Lazy'

Have you even watched him play? or are you just a stat watcher. Boogies takes a wide stat collection for a "big". Not every single one of his shots is a dunk. Pls go. Boogie is a bully in the paint. If he's posting on you, you will lose.

I still believe you are looking too hard at his stats. His ability to take over a game is unparalleled. Very similar to kobe. Maybe his shooting percentages weren't that great but he was a very dominant player. Neither could be pushed around.

Cousins is a chemistry killer. The one thing he has proved so far is he can't get along with any coach or GM.

Unparalleled...lol... I know you didn't just compare him to Kobe..

Taking over the box score doesn't equate to taking over the game... Remember that he's a big man and is sub par at the rim... Remember how FGA he has.

Kobe at his best was significantly better than Boogie at everything except rebounding... Even finishing at the rim and he's a guard.... Just stop

The OP is clearly joking but I can't understand why people are calling Boogie a bad scorer, if anything his heat chart shows he's an unstoppable scorer. I was actually someone who was really skeptical this guy would succeed in the NBA given his diva attitude and his college combine stats sucked (fattest draftee ever in draftexpress history), but he totally proved me wrong with his skills and work ethic. His heat chart shows this, 45% looks bad but that's only because he takes a lot of 3s AND he's the focal point of the offense, just look at Sacramento's team he's playing with guys like Rondo and Gay, guys who aren't exactly efficient snipers who can provide him with spacing to work his magic.

Cousins shot 58% in the post which is ok, but he also shot 31% from the 3 pt line which is downright amazing. Just a pipe dream, but if we can pair him with Harden and capable 3 pt shooters Cousins will explode.

What is the source of his attitude and frustration?

If Traded do we expect more of the same
    or
is this a KINGS related issue?
