Not saying that he's on Lebron's fantasy level but KD has actually been producing similarly to what Bron's output has been in the early going. I guess it helps that your best rebounder is camped outside taking 3's and long jumpers instead of crashing the offensive boards. Plus with Harden gone he has to become more of the creator on offense than before resulting in more points and assists. But yeah there's almost no way we could have a keeper league, at least not for keeping the top players in the league.
When I started playing fantasy basketball there was at least a selection of similar players. Jordan and Hakeem won titles, but Malone and Barkley and the Admiral, even Ewing all were equally effective fantasy players.
Owning Lebron is about as unfair as owning Oscar Robertson circa 1963 or Magic Johnson at any point + an additional 10 ppg.
DAMN! You've been playing that freakin' long? I was just a wee-lad admiring from a my living room while you were drafting these fellas. Crazy how easy it was to draft HOF players back in the day... now you have not even a handful to select from, at least not in their prime.
Really? Seems odd since Olajuwon was near the top as a scorer, FG%, rebounder, shot blocker AND in steals. If I had my pick out of those guys I'd be taking Hakeem.
I would have drafted Dennis Rodman back then just for the rebounds. I remember joining the league in 03-04 when Lebron was rookie and I got the top pick and ended up with KG. Also took Dwyane Wade late in the draft. Big Ticket's MVP season. 24/14/5 with 2.2 blk and 1.2 steals. Thats when he was fun to watch and not a total douchebag.
I think my first season was 95-96. Dream was 27-11, Shaq almost the same, Robinson 25-12. With those guys and Zo and Ewing, there were legit HOF-caliber Cs up and down the roster. Rain Man, Barkley, Malone, CWebb, Grandma were all incredible 4s. Rodman's 5-15 average was probably awesome for a category system, but in a total contribution league like we've got he was pretty worthless.
I've never had so many players missing games to start a fantasy season in my life. Now Rondo is missing games. Jesus.
Mo Williams has SG eligibility. He should not. http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2178/mo-williams Mwuahahha.
No doubt. They're making me sit 2 of my top 3 picks for two straight weeks. Lame. Should be some makeup 4-game weeks on the way.
