Blogger rips Pepsi ad as fake - unknowingly becomes victim in the latest Pepsi prank ad

    short version - this blogger calls BS on the Pepsi ad where Jeff Gordon takes a car salesman on a crazy test drive. So, to prove it is real Pepsi re-stages a similar situation and the blogger unknowingly ends up in the back seat of a cab..driven by a disguised Jeff Gordon. Pretty smart of Pepsi to setup their critic.

    Meh. More advertising. For all we know, the dude was also in it the entire time. :eek:

    Nice commercial. I'm still not going to drink PEPSI MAX, though. :p

    But it really was fake? I suspect the second one is fake too. The guy who played the "salesman" in the original ad has been pointed out as an actor who had bit parts here and there?

    Pretty sure anyone with half a brain knows this was staged too. You can't legally do that to people without them signing waivers.

    Regardless of whether or not they really tricked the guy in this second video and we're seeing his genuine reaction during the "getaway", it doesn't disprove the blogger's argument. The original ad used an actor and everyone was obviously in on it.

    I didn't scour the video for evidence, nor do I care to, but I did notice that there's no one in the backseat at 3:21. Just saying.

    Notice how Pepsi commercials/Ads always antagonise somebody.

    Coke, on the other hand, has actually managed to make feel proud to human on several occasions.

    You can see the blogger's eyes start to water, when he realizes there's going to be trouble. So, if this is fake, it's done very well.

    Nah, he's in there. You can see the outline of his head. He's just pinned back to the seat, like they show in the next frame.

    I'm sure they included those waivers in with a Pepsi Max endorsement contract. The first one was fake, the car stunts were more extreme and Jeff Gordon wasn't even doing the driving. It was painfully fake. This one was funny.
