He didn’t shoot it well, but he certainly didn’t suck much more than the rest of the starters. (And the bench was dreadful too) Still looks to be in much better shape then the last 2-3 years.
Someone here was defending Melo by stating that Westbrook also shoots badly. I wanted to point out that if Melo’s not hitting shots, he’s really not bringing anything else to the table.
MElo does not bring anything to the table other than his uncanny ability to jack shots up from everywhere. Why should it change now?

The next reply is punk as Royce saying Rockets scapegoated Melo. Melo was let go because Rockets didn't want to deal with questions about him being on the bench. Look at the media this guy gets! I am surprised for saying that. But the Rox FO was stupid enough to be goated into scapegoating a very easily to be scape goated scape goat Melo. Unbeknownst of really wanting to scape goat him, the timing and how it was done implied Scape goating. They arguably made it worse. I doubt the media would be mad at them for benching Melo, at least that rage should have subsided by now. Now every other month, articles pop up about how they did him wrong, after 10 games, this and that. The whole charade all over again.
May be there is a player or 2 that can come in and the whole Defensive is improving by leap and bounds. Gobert? Roberson? AD? There are few players that can, surely not Melo. It is not that easy. Maybe even Nurkic who will be returning.
