Which is t really true either. I guarantee you he doesn't own 100% of the stock of his business(es).

Sole managing partner / ultimate decision maker? Sure

 

I believe it was Zach Lowe who said he thinks gambling on basketball will be put on the table for voting within the next 3 years.

 

I don't think he was saying that the Fertita empire was built on pure luck, just that his business portfolio, while profitable, is less than inspiring. He's built an empire of good, not great restaurants, with a lot of glitter but not much substance. I'm sure the downtown aquarium is profitable, and the aquarium itself is rather impressive, but the food is so-so, and quite overpriced. It's the same with any Landry's, Morton's, the Boardwalk, Golden Nugget. In a word: underwhelming.

And that's the least of it. Why does an aquarium need white tigers? Then you start reading about how the tigers are treated...it's ugly.

But he seems like a legit fan, so let's give him a chance.

I guess they don't like his restaurants. I've had bad service a handful of times, but for the most part, I dig the food and the wait staff has been fine.

I've always heard this guy was kind of a douchenozzle. I hope this isn't awful. I hope he's not our very own Mark Cuban.

I think he'll be a BAD owner. But who knows. UH still sucks, lulz. Everyone that has interacted with him seems to think he's a BAD HUMAN being. People seem to have nothing but love for Les.

 

That's really what it's all about. I'm not really a fan of Landry's food myself, but I've never understood someone acting like their food choices are gospel and because they think the food is crappy, that's the end all be all of it. I know plenty of people that like his restaurants and will eat there in a heartbeat. People out here acting like it's McDonald's or something.
