No such thing as good and cheap. You usually get what you pay for.

I used to drink Jim Bean because of the price...

I have 3 bottles of Jack Daniels in my pantry right now.

i recently bought a bottle of canadian ltd (really cheap) and it tastes decent with 7 up but not nearly as good as crown 7. there has to be someone who knows of a relatively cheap whiskey which tastes good.

Makers Mark.. You're not going to get good stuff cheap.. it's like the sams choice colas.. You're gonna have a hard time finding a good drink at the well price tag.. spend the extra 3-6 dollars a bottle and get something good if you are drinking it to enjoy.. If you're young and just want a cheap buzz, get canadian club..

I burned myself out on bourbon a couple years ago, and have been strictly doing Canadian or Irish whiskey since. To me, nothing beats a good Black Bush/Bushmills/Jameson's/CC and water.

For relaxing times, make it Suntory time.

I probably don't have the greatest tastbuds in the world, but I really used to like Teachers as a cheap scotch. Crown Royal is overpriced Canadian crap, imho. More about the label than the scotch.

I know it's kind of an old man drink, but I really enjoy a glass of Chivas on the rox.

W.L. Weller is my favorite. Old Crow is always good for some fun.

Makers Mark rules. I've never seen why everyone love CR so much. Its ok but nothing fantastic.

I like whiskey, namely Scotch, a lot, but I like mine neat (straight-up, no chaser) for single-malts or on the rocks for the good blended ones. I think my uh drinking habit/costs might be a bit out of what you had in mind. I also agree that you get what you pay for with whiskey. If you are willing to splurge, it is great. If you just want a buzz, any whiskey will do if you mix it with the right combination.
