Ben Simmons as a Brooklyn Net

Nets should start practicing some 4 on 5

 

Ben is not a plug and play guy.

I bet not having the ball in his hands a lot will make him very passive and a liability.

 

This just a bad idea.

 

As long as his rehab remains on course?

It'd be ****ed up if they're 0-3 and they insist on Simmons suiting up

Simmons: I-I don't know about playing tonight coach
Nash: Hogwash. We're down 0-3 so what better game situation could you ask for in your return back to the NBA?
Simmons: What if I play poorly? I'm still a bit rusty and my left--I mean my right--I mean both of my shoulders hurt still
Nash: Wait I thought it was your back?
Simmons: ....Yea....so anyways what if we lose and the fans put the blame on me?
Nash: That's the beauty of it my boy! You were brought in to be the scapegoat for KD and Kyrie!

 

I kind of disagree. It just makes no sense to scapegoat someone when the team is already down 0-3, as no team has ever overcome that. I still don't see Simmons taking that opportunity though, just like he passed on playing with Australia in the Olympics last year during what was also probably a no-lose opportunity.

 

I don't make up the rules on how (social) media responds to Simmons or will respond to Simmons if/when he suits up. I'm just basing my sarcasm on how the NBA fans/watchers have, collectively, reacted to Simmons thus far.
