Believer or Non Believer

I agree with A-traind and f4p, way too much optimism at this point. Even with Yao dominating, we only had a 7 pt lead going into the 4th. It was a close game.

We're not contenders until the team can show more consistently that they can beat the fronting defense on Yao and really take advantage of the double team.

I really think tonight's game against Miami will be a real test for the Rockets to see if they've actually turned a corner. How will the team respond to not being able to feed the post easily?

 

How bout, I'm beginning to believe that we could conceivably get out of the first round THIS YEAR. I think that's as far out on the limb as I can allow myself at this point.

But I appreciate optomism, albeit a little premature, so I voted Believe.

I'm a believer that JVG's defensive teachings and the Rockets apparent adapation to these teachings give the Rockets an excellent chance of achieving their goal of making the playoffs, definitely the 6th seed as many of our highest expectations were hoping for at the year's beginning, and maybe even the 5th seed. Championship.......stranger things have happened in this league, but I would hold on before calling your bookie on that one.
