    Sounded more like a shot at the Catholic Church, Republicans, Japanese, and blind people to me. I can clearly see it. Matter of fact, he may actually be taking a jab at Big Macs, women named "Bertha", and one-legged fish cleaners who work at coastal restaurants. Wow. Can't believe it.

    Wow! I was afraid to post this very thing. I just wasn't as bold as you. The only difference in my thought was it was also a shot at people that like chunky peanut butter more than creamy. I've lost all respect for Battier, and now that I think about it, with statements like that, it tells me he's never really been that great on defense either. It's so crazy how telling one statement can be :p

    Since he's the co-captain (along with Chuck), Battier just want to play his role and attend the road games. Nothing wrong with setting an example... Way to be the leader, Shane. ;) Chuck would do the same...

    It could as be a swipe at Yao. He hasn't attended every game this season either.

    But I don't think its a swipe at anybody...Battier has more class than that.

    This is just another example of the media and fans trying to kick a man (McGrady) when hes down.*


    * With the 23 mill he made off his NBA contract b4 taxes.....its impossible to put him down lol*

    yeah, i'm with you. i can't image him ever taking a swipe at a current or former teammate. he's above all that.
