I know Barcelona are big favorites but I have a feeling Man U can pull this off.

My prediction (hoping): 2-1 Manchester United with Park scoring the game winner.

We all know English clubs or the National team have the tendency to totally disappear in Win or Die matches. It's gettin ridiculous as they have so much talent but never seem to win on the final stages. Look at the CL winners and International titles, England always disappoints.

We'll see the same this weekend, Barca 3-1.

So this is basically the Lakers vs Heat in soccer terms right?

    Or Yankees vs Red Sox?

Messi will get all the attention, but Chicharito will steal the show. 2-0 Man U

Basically Lakers vs. Celtics, two of the most honorable and profitable clubs in history.

LOL. I needed a good laugh Matt. Come back when you actually watch La Liga or PL, not just the highlights on BSPN.

This is difficult. As a Reds fan it pains me to see Rooney and his buddies hold a trophy. However I would much rather see Barca lose grandly. I'm a little tired of hearing everyone talk about Barca and Messi and how they're the bestestestest team evarrs. They're the only team that has ever gotten me to root for teams I would normally hate (i.e. MU & Real).

Still, in a perfect world, both would lose.

    My pred: 3-1 devils.

If Barca scores early and forces Man U to play catch-up, it's over. Once teams play desperate against them, it's over.

That being said, I think Manchester United will take it. Wembley will pretty much be a home game for them and their one distinct advantage over Barcelona is at goalkeeper. That's not to talk down on Valdes, just that Van Der Saar is one of the best all-time and can still do this. I feel that if Manchester United is able to establish their style early and rattle Valdes, they can win.

My prediction is 3-2, Manchester United.

¡Vamos, vamos, a ganar, Chicharito y Manchester United!!!

    I predict 3-2, Red Devils.
I'll throw another comparison in there: it's like Jets vs. Buffalo or even Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers in the 90s... but, yes, I agree with both of you. I don't think it's HEAT vs. Lakers, because the Heat aren't "legendary" just yet. I argue that the HEAT aren't even that feared, but MAN U and Barça's teams are.

The beauty of the "Champions League" is that rivals from different leagues square off in EVEN terms, but at a neutral site... and in this case, it favors the Devils.

Hey, what is Barcelona's "mascot"?

I'm wondering how Barcelona is going to play the way they did against Real, which was basically keep hold of the ball for 70 plus percent of the game.

All I want is for Puyol to cut his damn hair!! Ughh, that's painful to watch:mad:

    Puyol's hair is Barca's 12th man.
