Breaking news on ESPN, not even on ESPN.com that I can see yet. A local Texas athletic center has come out and said they provided steroids to Roger Clemens, Andy Pettitte, and Jeff Bagwell. As more information comes on Sportscenter, or on ESPN.com I'll post.
Update: Just found the source of the story. NY Daily News http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...sources_kelly_blair_made_boasts_about_ju.html
Apparently Blair already passed a lie detector test with the feds stating he didn't provide steroids to MLB players
I remember Bagwell's ex wife even coming out and saying he never used any steroids. She would have been the first to crack if she knew he did.
Dont lower yourself to the level of the losers who post on the NY Post boards. They are as bad as the Houston Chronicle posters. We clutchfans.net folks are a higher quality than those jerks. Besides, 9/11 was an attack on America in general, not just NY and DC.
The flipside of this is that every "questionable" source we've heard from so far seems to have been telling the truth - McNamee and Canseco, in particular, got blasted for being unreliable sources but as more evidence piled in, everything supported what they said. I don't think you can automatically assume Bagwell is guilty here, but you also can't outright dismiss the source.
Bagwell put on some serious weight later in his career. He has some huge pipes and he's a pretty big guy. He used to be skinny via his rookie card. I would be willing to bet money that he did steroids. So what.....he's still one of my all time favorites.
are we really all that surprised? not to accuse, but it wouldn't shock me if biggio gets named eventually too. there have been ALOT of astros who've juiced. i mean, caminiti and those two were pretty damn tight. tight enough to get him to come back to the stros.
