...cuz someone had to do it.

and after that game, I needed to humor myself.

So ya, his contract expires this off season, and now Houston's poor D has created much wealth for him.

    Who needs a combo guard?!

Your post is the perfect example of contributing absolutely nothing.

Don't forget Aminu. Aminu earned a nice pay raise.

And finally Rivers can say "I'm not just in the NBA because of my dad!" :p

    Thank you, much love.

But, he is a free agent this offseason, and he has played pretty damn well, even had a great outing in game 4 of the Spurs series.

Media/Me/Rockets fans, all thought we had it easy when we learned he was starting. And damn, he's proved everyone wrong

Yeah so you're claiming we should sign him. The joke was not very funny and could have been made in the thread which was posted before yours and is much longer:

I can see him turning into a solid 6th man type player.

He looks to me like he has the potential to be a Jamal Crawford/Lou Williams type player.

He's overrated. He's not a very good player, and he's too small for his position.

    His dad saved his career.

    We're not interested.

I'd rather give Nick his minutes.

LOL OP, your moniker fits this thread perfectly!

Rivers will be riding the bench soon enough.

I never meant to insinuate that the rockets should or would get him. Actually just a conversation. The Spurs title run in 2003 i think it was?...Stephen Jackson was in a contract year and went on to get a huge contract after their title run. You can say the same for Ariza, he played well for the Lakers in 2008/2009 and then the Rockets gave him MLE money, he didnt live up to it THEN.

James Posey did the same in the 2008 Celtic title run.

I opened this thread like someone on Clutchfans always does about a free agent, kinda joking at the fact that after this Rivers performance in the playoffs that he would get a stupid contract from a team and flounder.

Hell the kid has played tough this series.

But, lord i dont want him on the Rockets. I wish Nick could get some minutes, hes an athletic freak.

Austin Rivers is a very talented young guard. It took him a while but he has finally hit his stride. This kid is good and will only get better. His ability to get to the basket is legit and his finishing and outside shot will figure continue to improve. I would love to have Rivers over Beverly, Terry or Pringioni.

It's pretty clear that NO gave up on Austin Rivers too quickly. He's already better than Jrue Holiday and Eric Gordon.

    No he's not. It's a fluke.

    He'll go back to sucking.
