I watched the video, but am confused. How can someone go 300 mph on the road? I thought only planes could do that. Plus it's against the law.
That was 300 km/h about 185 mph. Honestly there are cars roaming the streets of Houston that would destroy any motorcycle real quick. And I've built and driven a couple of them
They were actually going 400 mph and the only law that was broken was the law of thermodynamics -- traveling that fast at sea level should have made them both melt.
I gone 160 mph on a bike before. which is 25+ mph slower than they are going. To do it in that type of traffic is plain dumb. All it takes for some r****d to change lanes on you going less than 80 mph, and you are toast.
Agreed. However, my calculations put the speed at around 473 mph at typical Germanic elevations. No doubt the RS6 was running All-Season 20" Kumhos or something.
Don't take this as a thread-derailing argument ... just want to make a simple point for your take: How is changing lanes at 80mph r****ded. It's not like you would even be able to see a car approaching you at over 160. Maybe r****d is an unfair word in the scenario you provided. and fwiw: isn't that the autobahn. Looks like they are driving through no speed limit zones. That didn't really look like heavy traffic to me when they were going 300, and certainly no one was changing lanes into the fast lane in those zone ... so, yes, that would be r****ded, but from my experience in Germany, that would also be extremely rare to see, if ever... at least not worth mentioning such a scenario.
Expensive cars exist with extensive mods than can go faster than a stock motorcycle? In a straight line drag race, bike wins all: stock bike vs stock car mod bike vs mod car MotoGP bike vs F1 top speed or turns a similar level car can have the advantage.
A stock bike still has a sub 4 sec 0-60 and with a average driver will run a high 10 sec quarter mile so it is impressive for a car to hang or beat any motorcycle stock or modded. As far as the cars being expensive I'm talking less than 30k for a few of these vehicles. It's hp/weight game and the bike has a big advantage
I saw a video on the internet about a fellow on a motorcycle going nearly 400 mph in the desert. I would think he had a special helmet and/or goggles to prevent any unnecessary injury in the event he accidentally hit an errant cactus or something.
so someone is going 160+MPH in everyday traffic and the r****d is the person driving a normal speed and changing lanes?
I don't remember the law exactly but I believe even though there isn't a speed limit you can't pass cars at those speeds.
