Yawn. Apples to oranges. What has to happen is pop or get off the pot. You either are gonna keep him and move Alveraz for help or you are gonna move him and keep Alveraz. Or keep them both and wish apon a star. Js You gotta give to get
Oh Baltimore... According to Steve Phillips of MLB Network Radio, there is a "possible snag" in the Dodgers' expected acquisition of Orioles superstar Manny Machado. Phillips hears from a source that "one or more" of the prospects that the Dodgers offered to Baltimore had some "issues in their physicals" -- as in, medical issues. This is not new territory for the Orioles, who have multiple times in the recent past rejected trades and asked for contracts to be reworked following physical examinations. Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reported Tuesday night, during the MLB All-Star Game, that Machado was all but certain to be dealt to Los Angeles before the start of the second half. Phillips now writes that this situation "may open the door for other clubs" to jump back in. Stay tuned.
Realmuto was 24th. I think this quote does a good job of summarizing why the ranking is justified: “Realmuto ended up a spot ahead of deGrom due to pitcher risk and the enormous gap between him and the next somewhat available option at the position, but it’s very close and reasonable people can differ on this. You could also argue that, like how an elite starting pitcher can affect things more in the playoffs, an elite catcher is affecting every single pitch and the whole staff.”
My opinion of Tucker was of someone good but likely not great before he came to the big leagues. He does have a high ceiling because of his raw tools, however I don’t think he is likely to reach his ceiling. He doesn’t make contact like Bregman and his approach isn’t like Bregman. I believe his long swing will limit his contact rate. I think it is likely he is a long term productive player with an ocassional all star selection. His glove will come around and he isn’t a liability on the bases. Based on his track record I think he struggles some when he gets his first taste of the big leagues but consistently gets better for years. I don’t really see that as selling him short. A Josh Reddick or Yelich caliber player is pretty good.
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, and sometimes it rains, but never are there more wins (and by extension WAR) than games played.
It's either 1. Kyle Tucker for J.T. Realmuto 2. Yordan Alveraz and pieces for J.T. Realmuto Or different direction all togather

What’s hilarious is that according to Fangraphs, trading JT Realmuto for Jose Altuve would be a good value deal for Houston.
Alvarez, Fisher, Perez seems steep for Britton. I don't know if Astros do this, maybe they would... as Tucker, Springer, Reddick, Kemp, etc. seem locked into the OF spot. Perez would go as LHP in swap, could see that as possibility. Alvarez, may be the price you pay to get Britton. I'd hold him out though and give them Tyler White and another guy to see if they bite.
It's difficult to envision the Astros trading Alvarez for a reliever. Britton isn't even that good either.
This is kind of how I see Tucker, whenever he's moved up a level it's taken him a while to get adjusted. Problem is with the Stros chasing another WS title they really dont have alot of time to wait for Tucker to get adjusted.
Giles/Paulino/Reed probably gets Britton. I wonder if something like Fisher/Davis/Armentros/Acala/Nova/Martin gets Realmuto?
