Will Fox start from the 1st game or will they wait till noon.

I imagine that even if they wait till noon the 1st game may still be going on.

Your guess is as good as anybodys... I'd wait till the Chron.com articles come out tonight, and check there.

I still can't believe they're going to play in the MORNING.

I thought after 5 innings it's considered a complete game and they could call it.

    From Astros.com

CINCINNATI -- The game between the Houston Astros and Cincinnati Reds on Friday was suspended until Saturday morning due to rain.

Jeff Bagwell had just singled home Adam Everett with two outs in the sixth to tie the game at 2 when the third torrential downpour of the evening began. The game, which was first delayed just before the scheduled first pitch at 6:10 p.m. CT and again prior to the bottom of the third inning, will be played to its conclusion beginning at 10:30 a.m. CT, prior to the nationally televised game on FOX, which is scheduled to begin at 12:25 p.m. CT.

It'd be interesting to see if the first game goes extra innings.

But I am suprised it was suspended, I was under the impression the rule was to go to the last completed inning (5th) and if the score was tied there, to suspend the game, but since the Reds led 2-1 at that point they would have been awarded the victory.

They can't call a game completed when its tied.

What if Bagwell had hit a HR, instead of a single, and the Astros had taken a 4-2 lead... and they have to suspend play before the 6th inning is over.

You'd see a mighty dissapointed team if they'd decided to go to the LAST completed inning to determine the result.

As it is... the rule is simply if the visiting team ties, or takes the lead, in the final inning before play is suspended... they MUST resume the game THE VERY NEXT DAY before the next game between the two teams... or before a future series, if the suspended game is the final game of the current series.

    OK, let's start trading.

I can't believe the Astros still haven't won an extra-inning game.

Its a possibility that both Kent and Beltran will be held out of the lineup because Gerry will now try to work out a trade.

If they're in the lineup, however, don't expect any moves to be made. There's less than an hour before the deadline passes anyways.
