Going to bed but two comments.

Excited to see how much Strom/Verlander/'Stros analytics help Greinke just as it's helped JV & Cole & Pressly. Not that he needs much help but what little tweaks they make to help him take it up a notch. Also with a damn good defense behind him.

Greinke is FREAKIN on the 'STROS!!!!!

Lol how the hell did @what get lost in the Astros forum and manage to spout off things he knows very little about?

It’s 2019 and I’m still waiting for Rudy Gay’s ascension to Kevin Durant’s level.

Seriously... the Astros and Texans are polar opposites.

The Astros get me fired up... thinking about the Texans used to get me upset but now it is just a thick and slow disgust.

I actually prefer last year's 1 through 5 more. But put this team ahead of 2005's team...

Walked into my local brewpub (Olympia, WA) tonight wearing an Astros cap. Guy behind the bar starts talking to me about the trade deadline and Greinke, etc., then casually says that since the Mets got Stroman, they now have the best starting rotation in baseball "by far." I just laughed and tapped the orange star on my cap, then took my beer to go drink it with smarter people.

When he bought the team. Yes, I remember.

He said "I'm going to do this and it's going to be terrible for a while."

Then he did it. Then they won a ****ing World Series.

Owners with a plan to make money vs owners that fall into money.

I'm just thankful Crane was true to his word.

You do realize the NFL is an entirely different animal? Trades in the NFL are RARE compared to other sports.

The Salary Cap in the NFL is different with no way to go over it....like in Basketball.

And because of non-guaranteed contracts, teams don't have to trade to get rid of players with bad contracts.
