Astros acquire Yusei Kikuchi

Even if Toronto is eating all of Kikuchi’s salary AND taking back Montero, I’m not all that stoked about the trade.

 

I'll forgive Dana if he unloaded Montero contract but this trade STINKS!!!

 

Hopefully the Jays are also taking on Montero.

I miss Click and Luhnow...

Even if we somehow "fix" Kikuchi, this is still a very poor trade.

 

Playoff rotation:

1. Valdez
2. Brown
3. Kikuchi
4. Garcia, Verlander, Blanco, other?

Bullpen: Hader, Pressly, Abreu, Scott, Martinez seem locked in, I wonder who else ends up here

 

I missed a well run franchise. That is until after 2022 season. Crane and his country club boys have been a disaster since.

There’s gotta be more to it… otherwise this was horrendous.

 

It seems I’m in the minority here, but not upset about it at all. Bloss isn’t ready yet and we need someone to eat innings. Kikuchi isn’t the greatest but he’s capable of eating innings and if they’re taking on Montero, even better. Looking forward to Kikuchi pitching well for us.

 

I wouldn't mind Chad Green being part of the deal.
