This guy hasn't been exactly stellar. I guess picking up Weathers wasn't enough. Got him for either cash considerations or a player to be named later.
Oliver isn't much better than what we have. Without even looking it up, Id be willing to bet that he hasn't posted an ERA under 5.00 in 4 or 5 years.
2-3 with a 6.44 ERA this year 58 innings, 75 hits, 13 HR's, 17 walks not sure why we made the move to get this guy
throw in a .310 average for left handed hitters w/ 5 hrs. Just what we needed...Another lefty that can't get lefty's out. At least we didn't trade him straight up for Beltran, yet.
I'm imagining we'll be using him in the bulllpen, not starting. His starting stats are horrible. Anyone know if this is the case?
Can't say I'm overly excited about this pick-up. He's always had pretty sick stuff, but hasn't had much success.
Pretty sure he'll be coming out of the pen. They said on the Buzz that hewas going to start in relief, but he was versatile enough where he might become a 5th starter at some point in the season,
