Astacio picthes 7 1/3 and gives up 3. He kept the astros in the game, threw strikes, but didn't get the decision. I like the fact that he didn't break under the pressure, but it was only one game. Alou gets the game winning single to drive in Biggio.
The pitching corps is finally pitching better. I just wish our hitters would start hitting again, though. Astacio really pitched well enough to get a complete game if the 'Stros could have gotten 7+ runs.
What a great, great game. Count's at 2-2 and Merced slams a double to right. Crowd goes absolutely nuts. I thought Mo was going to somehow get home, but it went to 10 for the third night in a row. I was about to have a seizure I was so nervous. I was so glad Lugo sacrificed because the dude just can't hit. (Well, he can, but the games I've seen - he's a big K victim). Then Mo...ahhh, Moises Alou. Bullets one to second that ricoches off the base - and THE METS CAN'T MAKE A PLAY! As Milo says, OH WHOA WHOA WHOA!!! Astros win the ballgame! Now, Stros, it's time to catch the damn Cubs! Let's sweep the Expos - starting tonight!
