That's an oxymoronish question. For me to answer, the streams would have to cross.

Can you find any decent Tex-Mex in the Pacific Northwest?

Depends on your fruit, but in general, I'd go warm cobbler with ice cream.

You're the winner! This is Post 20,000. I have reached my goal and you may all share in my glory.

Not really. There's OK Mexican, but not Tex-Mex or New Mexican.

(I'll keep answering but not immediately. I want to sit on 20,000 for a bit.)

Jealousy seems to be driving while you're stuck in the sidecar. Keep working and one day this dream can be your reality.

There's a lot to like, though like everywhere, it has problems and is not the flannel paradise that some imagine.

The best part of where I'm at is probably the geology and topography and the recreational opportunities that provides: 90 minutes to Crater Lake, 90 minutes to the coast, 80 minutes to redwoods, 45 minutes to a world class snowshoeing/cross country ski area, 30 minutes to a downhill ski area, 30 to whitewater rafting, 20 to a lakeside water park, 15 to a swimming hole, scads of waterfalls, tons of hiking trails all over the place, and gobs of forest. Been here since 2007 and haven't come close to seeing everything in my "neighborhood", much less other places in OR and WA. We live in a bowl/valley that is warmer than most of the surrounding mountains. The best days are when you're wearing short sleeves around town and you can see snow-covered mountains all around. Just the possibility of doing cool nature stuff on a moment's notice gives you a different outlook on life.
