They are catching people commuting crimes and detaining them to turn them over to the boarder patrol. There is no crime here and to call this kidnapping is just ridiculous. If they caught someone breaking into your house and detained them until the police got there would you still call it kidnapping?
No, its kidnapping. If you saw someone speeding, chased them down, pointed automatic weapons at them, detained them in your car until the police arrived, its a crime.

Crossing the border illegally is a Federal Offense. Speeding is not. Nice try. A Citizen’s arrest is 100% legal. Why do you have a problem with criminals being detained until the law enforcement officials get there? Oh, that’s right your only upset about for political reasons. It wasn’t that long ago that Democrats believed in boarder security just like Republicans. It was only after you guys started weaponizing the issue to drum up false outrage against conservatives that your party started having a problem with border security. If you comment a federal offense and a citizen detains you until law enforcement arrives it’s not kidnapping, its a citizens arrest and its 100% legal.

They don't know who these people are. They may or may not be guilty of committing a misdemeanor. One of these militia guys has already been arrested, and in the very recent past one murdered a local townsperson. That United States citizen would be alive today and his family wouldn't have had to suffer that if not for these criminal vigilante militias.
Seeing as how one of the militia members have already murdered a U.S. citizen that sounds like an incredibly bad idea.
Did you even read the article? They arrested a man for breaking a law that had nothing to do with immigrants or detaining them until border patrol arrived. Felons are not allowed to be in possession of a gun, that is what he was arrested for. Now, explain how the arrest proves your point.
They know those people are crossing the border illegally which is a Federal Offense. They don’t need to know anything else about them in order to legally detain them via a citizens arrest which they did. By your own logic, if you think every legal citizen legally detaining criminals who are illegally crossing the border is equivalent to a felon carrying a weapon then you must also think every illegal alien is equivalent to a drug runner, human trafficker or coyote. That is typical left wing philosophy, judge a person by whatever group you assign them to instead of judging them as individuals. Furthermore, instead of just arresting the person responsible for a crime, remove the rights of an entire group of people to account for it.
