Cf a month ago. I’m glad Ariza is here, Melo is not worth letting him go. Lol

Ariza is very mediocre. Courtney Lee pretty much can do his job at the same rate or better. I view him in that category

    1) People didn't want to package Ariza WITH Gordon for Melo, which remains true

    2) Courtney Lee is definitely better than Trevor Ariza at this point. I would say they are not in the same category.

If Trevor Ariza reads this, I want to remind him that this is his contract year.
You guys aren't used to the 1-2 month long shooting slumps by now?

Trevor Ariza hasn't sunk to Corey Brewer levels (God forbid!), but Dan Tony, like so many coaches, needs to open the door and let the stale farts out. Give a healthy, non-jacked-up-foot Ariza about 24, 26 minutes per game. Get some other guys out there.

MDA has a short list of players he trusts. Even when Morey traded away 11 players to get CP3 (which I am still for, not against), MDA still sticks to his chosen few. Runs them into the ground. Meanwhile Popovich plays practically everyone. Kawhi averaged, what?, 31 mpg last season? Yeah, he's hurt now, it happens. But I wish MDA would take a cue from Pops.

2017 Rockets Pre-season Trevor Ariza was averaging 16ppg on 47% 3pters. What happened? Just such a HUGE drop in a short amount of time.
Is he taking worse shots now? Did CP3+Harden help set up better shots in pre-season?

The season just started, so we can't really blame "wear and tear" of the season.

I guess we have to play the Shanghai Sharks or the Knicks every night to bring back productive Ariza.

He has become the new Corey Brewer!!!!!

Can’t defend anything anymore! He gets so much playing time like he’s got pringles nudes!

As positive as I’ve been, he might be really regressing..there’s just nothing that will change as he’s friends with CP3. Players own things now. Let’s hope he at least keeps shooting like this and you know he will work hard on D. Come on Trev, you’re better than this!!

I've wanted him traded or relegated to the bench for only two years now... SMH.

Definitely not. Ariza off the bench would not work, he’s a better starter. Glue guy. Too important for chemistry.

You guys do realize he is 32 years old and has played basically 35 minutes a game each season for like that past 5 seasons right? Ariza is exponentially better when playing around 30-32 minutes per game instead of putting up young superstar minutes.

This injury rest should allow him to come back strong IMO. The fact that he has missed a combined 3 games in the previous 3 seasons despite logging heavy hours and covering for Harden on D says a lot about this man's conditioning and work ethic.
