Cp3 is not a vet min player.... I'm not saying he' max guy neither, but he brings so much more to this team than "beating his man of the dribble". Hopefully morey works out a 3 yr deal of some sort to keep him and add plus side piece(s).

Pat Beverly, Trevor Ariza, PJ Tucker, Gerald Green, Flipping Osik for a 1st (I.e.Osik was a positive for us), Luc, Drafting Clint Capella, and not matching Parsons. No body bats 1.000.

I'll take 2 conference finals in 4 years.

Since he was smart enough to not match Parsons, he will be smart enough to not give CP3 more than 2 years

I'm hoping for a 3 year Supermax. CP3 asked to be traded here. You still need to build good will with players.

The question should be will Chris want to play in Houston after this season is over. Will he want to go wherever Lebron lands?

The question isn't should we re-sign CP3, it's are we willing to let Capela and Ariza walk for 1-2 years of LeBron? CP3 isn't leaving this team regardless of the outcome of this playoffs, I can almost guarantee that. No info here, just logic.

Not going to have both. Either one walks or stays. LBJ can easily play the 4 while Ariza stays at the 3 with Tucker playing backup minutes for Bron.

You don't let a HOF PG walk after we just gutted this team to get him, this team then won 65 games, lol. Also, Phoenix would rather draft Ayton than give up assets for Capela I'm sure. On top of that, Clint is going to be free to sign wherever he likes as a RFA. Our move is to simply match or decline, moot point.

Ariza and Capela would both be on the way out when CP3 re-signs, and if, LeBron signs in free agency. The only chance Ariza stays is if another team absolutely devours Anderson's contract over the summer, very unlikely.

A shorter deal and normal Max? Why is that not enough?

Yes, why do you think he did a sign and trade and not just free agency. Cuz this.

Meh, I just don't like Chris Paul. Its been hard trying to root for this dude knowing eventually he would find an excuse why he doesn't perform well under pressure. I honestly would've rather got Rondo, it would've cost 9 mil, we would've kept our draft pick and imo we still would be in the western conference finals. But I'm gonna stop crying about it lol, on to game 4

Not sure what you're saying, who are the 2 that could walk? Like, which specific players are you talking about there?

Chris Paul is a Houston Rocket for the rest of his career and Houstonian for the rest of his life.
