Are we just gonna ignore the season the "other" Carr is having?

I hate to say it but little brother looks pretty good. Doesn't have the low release that David has, good athleticism (4.56 40) and seems more of a gamer. I would take a flyer on him.

On the down side David would probably be around the sidelines and I'm not sure if my brain could stand to see Carr again on the back of a Texans jersey.

I joked about this in another thread, but I actually wouldnt mind him...only problem is that it brings up really, really bad memories. And he wouldnt be allowed to wear #8.

His brother was a coward with the worst work ethic this side of Vince Young. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree... No thank you.

But he had a cannon for an arm, and was mobile... according to this bbs, that is all you need to have to get an elite QB!

I think Derek is married, haha.

But, he is a lot more enthusiastic and passionate about football than David.

The guy has some skill...but I thought the same with David. If we had a better OLine, Im thinking David would have turned out better.

    That's not fair.

If that was true, Mike Jordan's sons would have at least been able to have good college career's.

He reminds me of Phillip Rivers with all his jumping around and fist pumps...but talent wise, I just don't know. To me, he's closer to a Matt Schaub clone that has wheels. He under-throws on deep balls but is very accurate with other throws. If he's available in the 3rd, Texans should go for it. Why not? Not like you haven't thrown away 3rd rounders before (looking at you Sam Montgomery).

lol i remember when i played against him in junior high football; one of our best linebackers blitzed him and clocked him, ended up breaking his arm.

    glad he recovered

lol but seriously, those were fun times, big brother carr always came in his escalade iirc. was nice enough, and he was still thought of really well at the time.

Married with a kid (link). I think I did see him adjust his arm angle and went 3/4 or sidearm on a TD pass in the game against Boise State last week.

As Richard Justice (the writer of wrongs) once said, "The Texans failed David Carr before David Carr failed the Texans." It'll always be an interesting question of "what if?" What if the Texans had a better infrastructure and talent around Carr, would he have still developed the bad habits he did or would he have been able to capitalize on his natural talent? *sigh*

I saw enough of Carr to know it didn't matter. The guy took sacks by running out of bounds behind the line. We heard over and over that coaches didn't like his work ethic..that he wouldn't put in the time. I don't think he had the "it," including intelligence, to be an effective QB in the NFL over the long term.
