Are we better served with Capela getting the primary assignment on Durant?

The Rockets sacrifice rim protection to be sure but it's become abundantly clear that Durant will have no issue shooting over Tuck, Gordon, and Harden. Luc is the wing that is most equipped to guard KD but he's been struggling on both ends of the floor since he returned from injury. KD is not looking to drive and finish at the rim so the team doesn't need anyone with lateral quickness to guard him, we really just need someone with length to prevent him from rising up so easily for midrange jumpers. Capela has the strength and the length to make it harder on KD to get to his sweet spots and shoot those jumpers that are automatic with an ounce of daylight.

And if we bite on pump fake and KD drives to the cup, we need to hammer him hard "while going for the ball". Once he gets up off the court- he has to earn it from charity line. Even if he makes both, we let him know shiit ain't gonna be easy.

WIth our switching defense, all the Warriors have to do is have someone set the pick and Voila...Capela isn't guarding Durant anymore.

The key to defending Durant is to try and deny him the ball in the first place. I recognize that's damn hard to do...but he can't shoot if he doesn't have the ball.

When you switch literally everything, there is no "primary assignment" when it comes to the Rockets' defense.

Capela looked good on him last night ... but KD is too skilled and would eventually figure out a way to light him up . I like Clint on him as a change of pace .

To me , Paul and harden actually did the best job on KD last night . Paul has quick hands and while KD "settling" for a jumper doesn't seem good (especially when he's on fire ) I would take that over a good look from 3 . Harden got a really nice strip on him and KD can't back James down .
