    Do you actually believe that, or even think that is possible? Believe me, that party is not organized enough to do such a thing.

    OddsOn, I really hope you are joking.

    Overall, I can't pick one of those options. "Responsible" is too strong a term, sorry. Helped generate the environment with irresponsible rhetoric? Sure, and that started with Lee Atwater, at least.

    There are a lot of cultural and educational components as well. And (not to get too meta here), but we are operating beyond our capacities as humans. Humans evolved to know about 30 people and deal with a certain set of daily information. We're operating 1000x out of specs, and hey, people suppose get crazy when that happens.
