He's been waived by Anaheim. Early indication is that he may be St. Louis bound. Isn't he worth a look?

He's got to have something left in the tank.

I'm pretty sure he's been pitching through pain the entire year. Which is why he hasn't been an effective starter this year. Maybe he could give us a couple innings out of the pen, but that's about it in my mind.

I also keep hearing St.Louis say they will be the team to pick him up. I think this could seriously backfire on them.:)

You know, I had this great idea from the beginning of the season until recently.

It was that the Yankees were/are 'struggling' so that if they were definitely not able to make the playoffs (if Boston regained first place and, say Oakland, is one top of the Wild Card), that the Yankees would trade Clemens to Houston for cash and/or some prospect and/or his salary since he's already retiring this year. That way it would concievably have given Houston a starter and given Clemens a chance to pitch at home.

Of course that wouldn't happen, not because of the Yankees probably going to the ALCS easily, but the fact that some team like the Pirates would claim him.

Happened when Oakland wanted Deion but San Diego calimed him.

    Dreamy thought but oh well.

He's gotta have some gas in the tank...If the Stros' are to keep the momentum, we need another pitcher...

    A) How do you know they haven't?

    B) His ERA is worse than any and all of our starting pitchers.

    C) He's been pitching with a torn ligament in his elbow.

Why would we want this guy?
