Huh? They used to own the same resto on 16th street in manhattan near my old apartment but it went out of business 2 years ago - I guess they relocated?

Well I just returned from my trip! Just in time for Rockets Playoff Basketball!

I had a pretty good time in Paris. I took Sam's advice and met some locals and rang up a good friend whose brother has lived there for years but is from Qatar and is pretty woven into paris night life. We also met girls at some cafe's and then spent time with them and networked our way into some really great bars/clubs. We spent a good amount of time at L'Toile, La Suite and some underground places and parties.

They usually just look you up and down and the girls were pretty good looking so we never really had problems getting into anywhere. I never really had to grease or anything at doors unlike places like Miami or Mexico. Locals also took us to these underground techno clubs that were amazing. The girls there were pretty amazing and a neat cultural thing w/ Parisian girls is that they don't expect you to pay their cover or for their drinks etc.. I don't mind if she's up to par, but it was a nice little surprise.

My only real complaint was that they don't serve Red Bull!! How is someone that is used to places closing from 2-5 am supposed to party till 7 am if they outlawed Red Bull! Some places also were a bit gouging with their 20-25 Euro drinks. For those that aren't familiar that means $26-$32 for ONE drink.

It was totally worth it though, but my next trip for new years is to Buenos Aires Argentina in which it will be summer and my dollars will kick a$$ !!
