UPDATE: Posted video... If anybody has the video I'd love to see it. Totally random play and might have a huge role in us making the playoffs over Denver For those of you who missed the game last night, Mozgoz stepped on photographers foot while backing up and inbounding the ball under our hoop. He then yelled at the photographer, "Look there goes my season". I could be wrong as I'm not a lip reader but something along those lines. He seemed to be in a lot of pain and a season ending injury doesn't seem far-fetched based on his reaction. I'm putting this in the GARM because it happened at Toyota Center and the video is just as much about the photographer as it is Mozgov.
Here's a link to a GIF of his random injury a month ago. Maybe he just tweaked the same ankle. http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2012/2/4/2770258/timofey-mozgov-injury-ankle-denver-nuggets
I uploaded the video for you... <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/fudYfJ3My34" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I hadn't seen it, but that's not the photographer's fault...and it can't be that bad if Mozgov had the presence of mind to complain on the spot, not once, but twice.
I have always wondered to myself that the camera crew and fans are too close to the court, and that one day a play like this will happen. Its a camera for god sake! You can zoom in, do you really need to be 5 feet away from the floor to get a good shot?
Thanks Clutch, I really wanted to try to analyze what he said. I'm even less sure now after many times watching it. Any updates on Mozgov? The longer he is out, the bigger the story.
I've never really approved of how close they put people to the action on the court. I know it's a cool feature of the NBA to be able to sit right there courtside but I really wish the NBA would rule that an extra foot or two is needed.
Mozgov is a true professional and did not deserved to be treated with a silly injury like that. Damn camera man. Get well soon Mr. Mozgov.
nothing beats Rodman's incident with a cameraman....LOL. he could still walk off the court, i thought most players tape their ankles....seems like a non issue
