http://www.slamonline.com/online/kicks/2010/08/the-role-model/ Good read on an ex-rocket, not our most favorite one but we have love for him. Wish more people were like him and didn't give a ****.
I do not consider any athlete who retaliates with violence role model-material. (e.g. The league should have made an example of Shaq when he took a swing at Greg Ostertag. Kids, in particular, do not need to see that type of behavior from people they aspire to be.)
We only have stability in Society because people care. There are certain boundaries which are acceptable inorder for society to be civil. If you are not within the boundaries, which are very liberal these days, you are on the fringe. Charles Barkley is accepted as a comical fool by civil society.
Not giving a **** can work for ya if you're a pro athlete or someone famous. Usually it just brings in more fame and fortune, but when you're not famous it works in the opposite manner. That's why more people arent that way.
