James isn’t a max player anymore, his body is holding up like it used. He’s still a very good player when he’s on.

If James is not on a max and doesnt need to shoot 20 times a game anymore then he still makes a ton of sense for this team as we wont be considered 'contenders' for a few years anyhow. With that said Im not sure after those last few games he will be able to command top dollar - and if he finds a team willing to max him out bless their hearts. He's reached the Ronin part of his career where he should wander from contender to contender on team friendly deals chasing the ring or just give up the chase and come back to Houston to finish out his last few years and leave a legacy with the next generation of players (whether good or bad would remain to be seen).

People obviously don't understand the desperate need for a genuine pg on this team. Like Harden doing bad in the playoffs shouldn't matter at all. The Rockets aren't pursuing Harden because they expect him to be an alpha that leads us deep into the playoffs. If all goes well it will be the young dudes who are doing that. What the Rockets want Harden for is what he does to players like Maxey which is really improve shot selection for his teammates

That's what we need. Harden lowering his value is a good thing.

That's brilliant, the team needs a "real PG" that can give us 7 assists to 5 turnovers while scoring 9 points on 11 shots.

Look, I get that you hate KPJ for outplaying your boy Green, but let's not get crazy.

Not only would James Harden hurt the team on the court when it mattered, he'd be devastating to the locker room by undermining the new coach and teaching the young players to quit when things get tough....to show up out of shape, to prioritize partying to winning.

Keeping Harden away from this team is the most important thing in the offseason.

As much as it pains me to say….need to move forward and not backwards. Harden was a legend, but is no longer and will complicate things at the PG position. Like it or not ownership and the new coach appear to love KPJ and he’s the future of the position as he’s young and athletic and does have impressive skills for his age. Not sure it would help him to be around Harden who is a notorious partier.

People were rightfully saying at the right price which in this case are not the amount of millions but the amount of years!

Anything beyond 2 years should be double or triple checked.

Mike Conley, Goran Dragic, Kyle Lowry,
    Tre Jones, Coby White....

I'm pretty sure there's players on the team that can give us 9 points on 11 shots and 7 assists to 5 turnovers.

You could also look at Bones Hyland and Raul Neto.

Let's wait just another day or two if the Draft would bring a playmaker first or not.

Pining for Harden when we don't know how the Lottery shakes out is premature ejaculation.

I wouldn't mind taking a PG, need before best available outside of the Top 3.
