What is interesting though is that there is literally a script handed out to Trump surrogates last night that instructs them to equate and back up Trumps "both sides" argument. Seeing Pence break from this script and sort of devise his own typical politician sidestep does show a separation from Trump though. This still isn't enough to tell me he's preparing to be President tomorrow or anything but he's certainly going to pains to try and walk both lines of showing public support and at the same time separating himself for the future to say "I didn't align with Trump" on these issues.

 

Rightfully so making comments like he has what would one think suspect.

Watching him squirm when asked to denounce Nazis and white supremacists and then denouncing CNN as fake news, off script, as if he felt the need to drive that point home, has convinced me he's a racist and an anti Semite. Anyone who tries, even a little bit, to defend those people that were in arms with Nazis is a racist and an anti Semite. Trump should not make it hard to let you know he's against these things. Yet he does. Over and over and over again.

This golf playing, woman grabbing, media hating, self appreciating, draft dodging, white supremacist tolerating tyrant is in the White House and was voted there. It's amazing really.

 

"Fine people" may be able to disagree over the removal of Confederate statues. However, when "fine people" who want a statue to remain show up at a rally and see people carrying Nazi flags and chanting things like "Jews will not replace us," fine people don't stay around by their side.

 

I found it amusing that the Nazis wanted to have their A&M rally at the statue plaza honoring the commander of the Rangers who scaled the cliffs at Pointe du Hoc on D-Day.
