Cool. I'll try to make time for it to check it out.

Yes, that is in my list of anime I've watched.

Yes! I remember this. I watched it a few years ago and it's definitely one of my favorites. I absolutely loved the battles that Sakuragi and Rukawa had against each other. I stopped watching since I got into school, but I'll try to finish this one up.

The last new anime series I saw was Code Gaess which was suggested on here. I loved every bit of it. Any more new shows (from 2003- present) like it?

Watching Shippuden and non-filler Bleach episodes. Used to watch DBZ when it aired.

Man, looking at all these recommendations, I really realize I was an anime hipster back in the day. I only liked mainstream crap (DBZ, Kenshin (except the OVA's), Naruto, etc.) back when I was in high school, but when I got to college I went full hipster and liked more obscure things. Well, not really obscure obscure, but a little ways off the Bleach-beaten path if you will.

    Examples:

    - Twelve Kingdoms
    - Noir
    - Scrapped Princess

All great shows that many have not seen since they haven't been on Cartoon Network or syndicated in the U.S. except on DVD. They're typically short, too, not the 100+ episode filth.

Apologies for being an anime hipster.

My interest in anime altogether never really recovered from Endless Eight - I generally react very poorly when I feel like I'm being mocked.

That said, I stopped by to look at Puella Madoka Magica this last spring. Basically Sailor Moon........meets Faust. Highly recommend.

Not watchin these insider animes wit pistol-stacked double-D girls and ish.

The ones i prefer are Dragon Ball and DBZ, never watched GT( will in a bit).
Also the old episodes of Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh! wre great entertainment, but as they progressed the whole things got cyberish and kinda weird.
    One Piece was pretty good...
Don't know if they count as animes, but who remembers Kickers?

You'd probably like Fist of the North Star if you're into DBZ. It's popcorn action. My guilty pleasure...

Agreed, I've been looking for something like the Yu Yu Hakusho tournament but can't find anything, if anyone has any suggestions for anime with lots of fighting and powers it would be much appreciated. Wanted to get into One Piece because I've heard so many good things but damn, 500 episodes behind is too much to catch up on.

Anyone watch "Summer Wars" or "The Girl Who Leapt Through Time"? those were some pretty great recent anime movies. They weren't even the kind of genre I'm in to.
