When they deny Oakley and his asian friends at Red Door, he's going to get into trouble https://vegasinc.com/business/legal/2011/jul/11/las-vegas-casino-guards-counter-sue-nbas-charles-o/ Las Vegas casino guards counter sue NBA’s Charles Oakley over altercation A group of security officers countersued retired NBA "enforcer" Charles Oakley on Monday, charging he has assaulted Las Vegas casino workers at least three times since 2005 – but has repeatedly avoided arrest because of his celebrity VIP status. The officers and the Aria hotel-casino were sued by Oakley on May 12 in Clark County District Court over a 2010 altercation, and on Monday the officers and the casino filed their first response to Oakley's lawsuit. The officers' counterclaim is part of that response. Oakley's suit charged that while visiting Aria on the Las Vegas Strip in May 2010, the former power forward was injured by the officers after a verbal dispute with casino personnel escalated into the officers attacking him without cause. Attorneys for MGM Resorts International’s Aria property at CityCenter and the security officers, in their response, denied allegations Oakley was subjected to an unprovoked "gang-style" beatdown by the officers.
So as far as the entire team it's this Bogut/Capela Anderson/Nene Ariza/Dekker Beverley/Gordon Harden/Williams
Nene is a PF/C and he clearly isn't a full time player anymore. The Rockets could easily play Bogut and Nene at the same time. I think Bev, Harden, Ariza, Nene, Bogut would be pretty formidable.
You may hate Andrew Bogut, as a person, certainly I do, but make no mistake he fills the biggest need this team has which is defense / rim protection, and rebounding. This is a DPOY caliber player we are talking about. His defensive +/- for the past five seasons has been +5! That is a monster defensive player. If you want to put your self in the absolute best position to win a ring this year, Andrew Bogut is your guy.
Injury-prone, do not want. Spoiler He's going to Cleveland or San Antonio or Boston or wherever anyways.
Pretty sure it's going to be Center by committee, so I wouldn't worry about how many we have. Based on current standings, we will play Memphis in the first round and the Spurs in the second. Bogut may be our STARTER in those series to match up with Pau, Aldridge and Marc. If we make it to the finals, very likely we go with a more mobile group of Capela and Harrell.
Dekker is also a F who should be backing up Ariza... Who do u think plays backup F most of the time when Anderson is on the bench? Not Dekker, it's Ariza bc he is a way better defender. You couldn't afford to put Harrell and Nene out there at the same time and risk the foul trouble. Lineup if and when we sign Bogut should almost look like this: Harden/Gordon BEV/ Williams Ariza/Dekker Anderson/Harrell Capela/Bogut/Nene
I can see him going to the Cavs he can get revenge on the Warriors if both teams make it to the finals
Please stop reminding me of all the past Knicks, next you'll bring up the fact that Derek Catfish was a Rocket for a short second. I'm going to take a shower.
If we get Bogut, he's coming off the bench. No reason to disrupt the chemistry James and Capela have...we really just need Bogut in the playoffs, don't want to risk him getting hurt before then. If we play the Grizz, then you could definitely have him start as an adjustment.
not only that, now it allows houston to put out even more versatile lineups to adjust however the game presents itself. You want to play with a traditional lineup with bigs, small ball, or even just fast. Rockets can throw how so many different combinations with how deep they are now and could be
I hate Bogut too but it won't matter. HE'S NOT COMING HERE. If it's his decision he won't choose Houston over SA or CLE. 1.He chose a rebuilding Mavs team over us in the summer. 2.He doesn't like our team because he's a lil b****. 3.Money isn't going to matter to him since he will get another deal next season so he'll want to start. (He isn't starting here).
