dear CF, the greatest fan site created. Can we please stop with the sky is falling stuff? This team has the all star break to get healthy and regroup.... 1. Capela (and rim protection will be back) 2. CP3 is still healing 3. Gordon will rise closer to his career averages 4. Our beloved House will be brought back ALL of these things will happen just in time to hit our stride for the playoffs..... And next year - the BS tax issues will not be in play So ENJOY all of the beautiful skies in the meantime because there will even more Bueatiful Skies to come!
The team has done pretty well against the better teams this year. I have to think that bodes well for the playoffs.
Ever since the unexpected bad season in 2015-16, this forum got really negative. Really turned me off and I hadn't posted nearly as much since then. So the bad attitudes are really just more of the same.
It's disturbing that so many people can't see positives and negatives at the same time. Your brain is 100% capable of doing it.
Those are four HUGE points. No reason to be concerned about the Harden comments as he'll have his TEAM back after the ASB. No reason to be overly concerned about the play of Shump, Rivers, Faried as they will all be relegated to lesser roles once our Core 4 is back up to speed. No reason to cry about PJ's minutes as we'll have House back to offer relief mins. And lastly, no reason to care about what outsiders say regarding this team. When have they ever been right? We have the best player in the league right now. As long as we're healthy going into and throughout the playoffs, we can go toe to toe with ANY team in the league.
And next year, Tilman will not need to make the luxury tax payment and MCW, Chriss and Melo will not return. Tilman can easily to allocate $10.5 tax room for 7 player and get luxury tax profit.
Too many known intangibles before the playoffs. Last season spoiled us with one double digit win streak after another. This season has not built on that ,so I can see why people are less enthusiastic. When I see Harden put work and sweat into adjusting his weakness and improving his game, it pisses me off when so many others, esp MDA, hasn't adjusted. This is a story we've all seen before. James will pick up the tab and some idiot on here will post another Trade Harden thread because "he does the same thing and choked"
You know that's what I thought recently. I couldn't put a finger on it. We lose to mediocre to bad teams like Wolves, Pelicans, Mavs, Nets but have won against some of the top teams minus the bucks. Quality wins against Raptors, Warriors, Denver, OKC. But remember most of those wins were during that hot streak and with the Green-House effect. The recent losses to OKC and Denver concerns me. (Without Green-House effect/Capela) But if they better against top teams then it's psychological and needs to be fixed. Too many games have been thrown away to mediocre or run of the mill teams. I was there at the game in Portland in JAN and Harden sucked ass. I could tell because he didn't hit any 3's in practice. not 1! Just lazy the whole game. Green-House effect and Capela were there but no EG.
He He won't....regardless of the fact that he said, he would do whatever it takes to win a championship, he will only acquire the cheapest talent (or lack of talent) that will keep him out of the luxury tax. Hey Tilman, there's this 3rd string bench sitter from the Euro League that will come cheap!
With Capela back, CP3 rested and healthy, Tucker getting time off, Gordon getting time off, Rivers thumb having time to heal, Shumpert getting more time to fit in the schemes, And of course Harden getting a much needed breather, I predict the rockets go on a 17-3 run the next 20 games. Yes I looked at the schedule dont @ me
