    Over the years as my playing has evolved I’ve begun to appreciate Mayer. He deserves a mention in a top list maybe a top 20

    My list a couple years back looks like hasn’t changed much. The shredfest high gain scales up and down doesn’t do it, tasty/melodic phrasing in a clean setting is a must for any top guitarist imo.
