Since this decade is ending soon in a few more weeks, is time to select your all NBA team for the decade and here is mine:

    All NBA First team:
C - Shaq (MDP, MVP, 4 titles, 3 Finals MVPs, enough said)
PF - Duncan (4 titles, MVP, 3 Finals MVPs, the best PF ever played in the game)
SF - KG (MVP, One ring, 20-10 machine)
SG - Kobe (4 titles, MVP, scoring titles, Best SG in this decade)
PG - Kidd (Triple Doubles machine, led his team twice to the NBA Finals)

    All NBA Second team:
C - Ben Wallace (2 times DPOY,1 title and 2 times NBA finals apperance)
PF - Dirk (MVP, led his team to NBA Finals once, best international player without college experience to ever play in NBA)
SF - Lebron (MVP, triple double machine
SG - AI (MVP, scoring title, NBA Finals apperance)
PG - Nash (2 times MVPs, Leader of the most exciting team this decade)

    All NBA Third Team:
C - Dwight Howard (Most dominant Center since Shaq)
PF - Chris Webber (best player in the best team early in the decade)
SF - Pierce (One title, Finals MVP)
SG - Wade (1 title, NBA finals MVP)
PG - Billups (One title, Finals MVP)

I was thinking the same thing. Yao probably gets the nod over Ben Wallace. Besides, has he done anything since the Pistons championship?

For all the games Yao has missed in his career, he's still played more games this decade than Howard.

Not bad. I'd put Wade ahead of Iverson, I'd consider putting Nash ahead of Kidd. Yao over Howard for the decade, IMO. I can see it either way with Yao vs Ben Wallace for the 2nd team.

That Ben Wallace is even being considered for this list is telling. Center pool in the 2000s has been very disappointing.

T Mac not on the list is a damn shame, but its hard to argue him over any of the sg/sf. Lebron took his team further, AI also took his team further, paul pierce and wade have the rings and Kobe is just purely the best.

I would personally take T Mac over AI and Pierce at their primes, but the team results have to count for something.

Good list, I like the respect you paid to both sides of the ball.

Putting Jason Kidd over Nash is an outrage.
