Is it just me, or does Bush look like a deer in headlights? I think he's scared sh!tless about something. Or maybe it is just me.
I don't think so. I think he's doing a good job like he's been doing for the past month. I never thought I'd say this, but I really respect this man now. I don't agree with many of his beliefs, but I really like how he's handled this whole thing. Let's go hug some trees with pro-choice, homosexual, tax and spend liberals (phew...had to get that out).
Bush always looks a little nervous. I didn't notice anything abnormal. I'm sure he's very stressed out.
I didn't notice anything different. I know Bush isn't totally comfortable in public, I understand that. And he might have been a tad shaky, but I think he did a pretty good job considering.
I like the way Bush has handled this. I will say that he reminds me of TheCat the way in which he pretends that consensuses (es/i???) exist before they really do. ( --> <-- smiley inserted for thecat ) However, the footage that I watched on CSPAN didn't impress me. He will never be a great speaker (of course you say). I remember a paleobiology professor that used to mark up all of my papers with red ink. He amusingly conceded that it may be unfair to judge someone b/c of grammar... but then insisted "get over it! that's the way it is!".
I watched Bush's address and for the most part it seemed as if he was more calm than usual. He was pretty laid back in taking questions from reporters and didn't seem to have that "confused deer in the headlights" look he usually has when addressing people.
I was thinking he already looked a bit aged last nite. I've seen a change in EVERY president we've had. Think of the crazy extreme pressure of being president! Night and Day paranoya. I'm not suprised. do you think Bush sleeps well at nite? I don't.
