My friend is a big Cowboys fan and he actually brought it up today after Romo's performance. If he doesn't get it done this year, do u think they should give San Diego a call and ask for Phillip Rivers. Swap him n romo. I personally think the Chargers will hang up on them, but I'm a Texans fan. lol What do yall think?

They've got much bigger problems than Romo. They need change at the head coaching position. You think Romo is better than Alex Smith? Look what a coaching change and philosophy did for him. The 49ers are a run first team, that makes Alex Smith better.

It's interesting the Cowboys wanted to extend Romo long-term and he put them off. Benching Romo and starting Kyle Orton equals giving up on the season and telling Romo to get out of town. Jerry isn't ready to do that yet.

Cowboys have a horrible O-line that wasn't addressed at all last offseason. One of the worst in the NFL. They're effectively wasting the talent of their stud RB - DeMarco Murray behind that rag tag bunch they've got back there.
Is what he's doing personnel wise really that bad? They have talent on offense, talent on defense, they make ballsy moves during the draft and usually come out with a solid piece. They gave up on Barber, J. Jones, and several other guys just at the right time. They acquired some great help in the secondary. Bryant has the tools to be a star. Bennett is another guy with tools. Murray was a find. They'll probably have another random slot guy in Ogletree earn a bigger contract. I could go on and on. Yes he's made mistakes but look around the league, he isn't that bad man. Now who he has coaching... that might be something else entirely.
The Cowboys have play-makers everywhere except on their offensive and defensive lines. DeMarcus Ware cannot rush the QB on his own, and they literally have NOBODY else to get pressure on the opposing QBs. The secondary has been vastly improved, but it makes little difference when receivers are given 4-5 seconds to run across the middle of the field. On offense, that line is atrocious. Romo is constantly running for his life, and when he actually does get a ball thrown downfield, Dez Bryant lets his go through his hands. Their complete lack of a running game is also due to the horrendous running blocking from the line. Offensive lineman are not sexy though, and we all know Jerry loves to go for the sexy pick. He has neglected the lines for years, and this is what he gets. On a sidenote, he has created all this mess by putting all of this undue pressure on the team. Year in and year out, he convinces all of the gullible Cowboys fans that the team is a Super Bowl contender because they have all this star power at the skill positions. But, the problem is, average Cowboy fan is unable to look up and down the roster and see that there is no depth on the team, no help in the trenches, and a coaching staff that is unable to get the most out of their players. It's so comical to see the meltdown when the team is 3-3 all because they bought into the preseason hype from Jerry and Co. Also, what a crappy homefield advantage. Sure, that stadium is a bazillion dollars, and is possibly the nicest FACILITY in the country, but where is the character? Where is the intimidation? Fans are SO FAR removed from the field because of its size that they are barely heard on the field. It almost has the feel of a neutral field for the other team. You know its bad when OPPOSING quarterbacks are able to hard count the Cowboys defense into offsides penalties!!
