911 call from a guy in the WTC as the building collapses. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIRq9BFgLBo&search=911 call
I knew how it ended, but it still brings tears to my eyes. Makes me want us to get out of Iraq and concentrate on Bin Laden. DD
I thought we were Seriously though, kidney failure will probably get him before we do, but who cares really, Bin Laden is merely a 'mythical father' and nothing more at this point, catching him would accomplish nothing more than a 'moral victory' and make people feel all warm and fuzzy inside, but it won't have much positive effect otherwise.
Whichever one gets him first is fine by me, he will die sooner or later, that much I am certain about. I am also certain about the fact that he will have to answer for his crimes in the hereafter, so he won't escape responsibility either way.
Not sure what you mean, but it was very tragic and shocking to most Americans because of the power of TV, we watched it unfold in front of us, heard stories and first-hand accounts, and knew that Americans were killed in that attack, not to mention that it was a symbolic attack carried out for the purpose of having that exact effect; mission accomplished from the perpetrator's standpoint. Obviously, similar things happen in wars and conflicts the world over every single day, but it's unlikely that we again as a nation will get to witness such a tragic event upclose and personal as we did the attacks on the WTC towers, at least hopefully we won't.
wow there are no words that can explain that video. why does this world have to be so evil sometimes. there is so much good, but still so much bad.
I couldn't disagree more, tiger. I want the b*stard caught, tried, and hung on a spike until his body rots. You know, get seriously medieval with the S.O.B. Failing that, then killed, with the US or it's allies finding the body. He's been knocking around with this kidney "problem," for some time. He needs to pay. He needs to be caught, and to hell with "mythical warm and fuzzies." Let's leave that for Sesame Street. And it would be a military victory, one we should have taken care of, along with the rest of his people, a long time ago, and instead of this stupid diversion in Iraq, which diverted many resources away from the destruction of al Quada, and has contributed to it's growth, and that of it's "wannabes," not it's destruction. I don't buy your argument, or the argument of Bush apologists, and others, that the invasion of Iraq was needed, and a legitimate part of this "war on terror." Keep D&D Civil.
