its perfectly normal to feel that way...The only people who really responded to my posts were folks I met personally at the Smeg thing and the meetup @ Behad's.....until I started doing that other thing that Im kinda known for these days.

I have a real decent sense of who alot of the regs are for no other reason than I have been here so very long(lets put it this way...I remeber it when it was CC 97)..I really should be ashamed of how much time I used to spend here..kinda tuff to have a life with places and people like this aroiund...you never want to leave just in case you miss something good.

 

I tend to think of you as more of a member variable of a C++ class, but I've probably been staring at too much code recently.

 

droxford, besides the fact that I am quoting you on my sig, and that I know you personally, it's been a great 5K. You seem to answer the same shiznit that I know, and you mostly post the correct answer or say what I need to say without me actually posting it. Dang it, this sounds like Brokeback ClutchFans...

dang just looking at some you guys that have joined up after me and have 5x as many posts scares. I spend a lot of time on the bbs but dont post too much. I never joined the forum in 97 though i browsed it because i had dialup and barely could get online for an extended period of time as it was.

I am currently listening to "Cortez the Killer" by Neil Young off "Decade" - damn, does that song kick! But, hey you already knew that.

 

I guess I was the original "Attention w****" on this BBS. I was first to 100, 500, and 1000 and made posts about them... on the original server thingy. I thought it was the thing to do then.

Man. Those were the days. I also called a radio show that Will was on in Houston. He was discussing something about Hillary Clinton as a Senator, and I called in to ask if the Rockets should get KJ...

1997... good times, good times.

Now, I've yet to reach droxford's milestone.

But I'm not far behind.
