I also missed this banishment of amfootball. I didn't see anything in the feedback about it (there might have been a thread at one time but it got deleted). I did check the Rice thread and Kaiser Soze posted a link to a thread that also got deleted. So apparently, she must have started a thread or posted something in a thread that is gone that caused her to get the boot.

My big question is to Fatty - what do you mean that she "asked to cancel"?

 

She started a thread in the Feedback and asked Clutch to cancel her registration.

He obliged.

Basically, she asked how you cancel a membership. Her reason was that she was tired of being picked on by everyone and didn't want to be tempted to come back.

Funny part is that she went right on posting in here for the next hour after she posted it.

Then Clutch came in and said something to the effect of. "No problem. You're cancelled". And she was out.

 

LOL, that must have been Tuesday night as I was out to a concert. Figures I would miss something good the one time I go out during the week.

 

BTW, I would also like to pat myself on the back for this being my 5,479th post. I expect many kudos for this accomplishment.

The amfootball thing DID happen. She said that she didn't like the hostility directed toward her sometimes when she posted, and she wondered if it was possible to change her screenname or password so that she wouldn't be tempted to come back here.

Clutch replied with a, "Wish granted" post and locked the thread up. I guess later he deleted the whole thread also.

BTW, I can't believe that I actually have over 5,000 posts too. And I don't even feel like I post that much. Although it makes me wonder if I have an "identity" on this board. Whether anybody remembers who I am (besides a few individual posters like Swoly-D, R2K, or SamFisher), and values my opinion or at least recognizes stuff I've said in the past.

Or am I just another in a mass of posters who you might recognize the name, but don't really have a feeling about what they bring to the board. There are a lot of guys on this board where I recognize the name, but I don't get the sense of who they are and whether I've agreed with their opinions in the past, or really appreciated their analysis or humor.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it seems to take either a lot of posts, or extremely high quality of posts to make an impression. And I kind of wondered if I have made an impression in either of those ways.
