So much back and forth, love the banter.

Just wanted to get a temperature check to see where the community stands on pick #2. Combine is complete, Pro Day's are almost complete.

I'll close the poll in a week and then again see where we are at right before the draft.

Pro Days are not complete, Anthony Richardson still has his next Thursday hehe
I dont want him, but just wanted to say that.
Maybe I would prefer picking Will Anderson with the #2 and Hooker with #33 but I wouldnt mind picking Young or Stroud,
I dont want Levis or Richardson

Young or Anderson >>>>>>> Stroud > Levis > Richardson > Carter

Of the given options and leaving Other alone. Currently torn between what I think we’ll do (Young) and what I wish we’d do. Most nervous for what happens if the Panthers take Young.

If the Panthers take Young I’d prefer we trade down as top option, draft Anderson/Hooker as backup option way more than picking any of Stroud/Levis/Richardson.

I voted for Young. I think he is the best option at 2. Unless Carolina is planning a Magic-like swerve I sense they’ll take CJ. If they don’t take CJ and take Young we prob take CJ. If they take AR or Levi’s, I still think we take Young.

I wouldn’t touch Jalen Carter at 2…however I wouldn’t allow Jalen Carter to fall past 12. His stock has plummeted due to the racing situation and his pro day, but dude was the best player on a team that had the 1st overall pick last year and the talent at 12 is absolutely worth it. I mention this cause Carter might fall out of the top 10

Jalen Carter falling out of the top 10 is something I don’t see. 5, 6 and 10 are the spots to watch. If he makes it to 12, Texans need to jump on that.

Thanks I’d change my vote from Anderson to trade down, but right now it won’t let me. I’ll try again tomorrow.

Stroud. Has highest floor and would be a great fit in the WestCoast System. Our best offense in Texans history was ran by Matt Schaub.

Young an extremely close 1b. I have almost no preference, but the more I watch Stroud tape, the more I realize how special he is with progression and throwing the ball accurately. He really is an impressive prospect who has flashed multiple times that he can avoid the rush and be a playmaker.

Will Anderson. Championship teams require a game-disrupting edge rusher and one will be available for us at #2 overall. Take him and watch the entire defense be elevated.

You know, sometimes it's actually easier to have the #2 pick instead of the #1 in a year when there is no far and away obvious consensus generational QB guy that will go #1 (e.g. Peyton Manning, Andrew Luck). You know it's between CJ and Young, and it's difficult to predict who is the better prospect between the two. Carolina is the one forced to make the tough decision, you just take who they don't take. If it turns out the guy Carolina picked ahead of you is better, then just blame it on Lovie.

I'd trade down and give LJ the bank.
